Chiamaka’s Story

Chiamaka is being trained to become a hair-dressing and make-up artist at a busy shop located in Amaimo town centre and run by the business owner, Mrs Nkeiruka. She was spotted by our Project Coordinator, Mr Udochukwu as she was sitting idle at home, having finished secondary school with no chances of proceeding to higher learning or getting a job as she had no skills or previous work experience.

Chiamaka has been in training since October 2023 and will be graduating at the end of October. We plan to set her up in her own business by December while she hopes to be able to make enough money in future to continue with her education and help to train other young people with limited opportunities like herself.
