CHIAMAKA’S STORY

Chiamaka is the first child of eight children. Her parents, both petty traders, managed to put her through high school despite their meagre income, with the hope that she can help to train her siblings.

Chiamaka is unable to continue education beyond high school and was not gainfully employed when she was identified by the charity for our training scheme. However, she’s now training with the local tailor contracted by the charity to make our scholarship beneficiaries’ school uniforms. We hope she can have this same privilege in the near future when she sets up her own trade as a tailor with the support of the charity.
