We had a visit by Santa Clause and MC Clown and his friends, Barney & Mickey Mouse to bring some fun games, with bouncing and sliding, face painting, and dancing. 

Prizes were won with Christmas gifts presentation by Santa as well as raffle draw prizes for the teachers. There was more fun with food, drinks, pop corn, ice cream, ice lollies, and Christmas cake!

We felt honoured by the presence of the former deputy governor of Imo state, the Eze (or king) of Obodo village in Amaimo, and an entourage of heads of community groups and associations. We were also super excited to see many other children from the community and neighbouring villages come to join the funfair.

And of course the promised graduation of two trainees from our Youth Vocational Training Scheme! The graduands were sent off into artisanship with some tools, equipment, and cash to help them start off in trade.

It was indeed an excellent event, and we look forward to hosting more children from Amaimo and other rural communities to even more fun events in future.
