Meet Our Volunteers

olugbueOnyedikachi Olugbue

I’m a media personnel currently working as a Senior Advert Executive at Vanguard Media Limited, Lagos, Nigeria and have been working in schools since 2020. I’ve taught subjects in the arts and social sciences. My passion for education has driven me to support Students in rural areas during my National Service programme in Ekiti State, Southwest Nigeria.

I have a strong desire to see positive change in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa.

I bring my passion and ever generous, supportive and positive attributes to my work at EVM and will be helping the charity with Media & Publicity work.

olugbueChikodi Ugo

Hello, I’m Chikodi  Ugo, a member of the Amaimo community previously volunteering as Every Village Matters pioneer Project Coordinator before relocating to the United Kingdom to further my education. I currently volunteer in Community Mobilisation and Partnerships with the charity.

I have a BSc in Banking and Finance and am presently an MBA student of York St John University UK.

Apart from  working as a credit officer for a Microfinance  Bank in Nigeria, I ran my personal business for over seven years.

My passion for sustainable development in Nigeria and Africa closely aligns with Every Village Matters vision to help improve life outcomes for disadvantaged children and young people in rural African communities through quality education and youth empowerment. I look forward to continuing to use my business management and community networking skills to support the charity to achieve its aims.

olugbueNnanyere Anamekwe

Hi, you can call me Nanee. I grew up in Abuja Nigeria where I spent the first 16 years of my life before moving to the UK to pursue higher education. I have a BA Hons in Accounting & Finance from BCU, MSc in Corporate Finance from QMUL and I am currently an ACCA affiliate, on course to my full qualification. I worked 22 months as an accounts assistant at a development firm in London before moving to a graduate Audit role in KPMG.

Aside from work, I’m very passionate about Nigeria and Africa and would describe myself as an Africapitalist. My professional dream is to help develop the continent by creating and working with  organisations in Nigeria and Africa that focus on improving life outcomes for citizens.

Helping currently with Finance & Admin work, I volunteer with EVM because their vision for rural poverty alleviation and sustainable development is closely aligned to my vision for Africa to reverse the trajectory of dependency to prosperity. I really believe this is possible with hard work, dedication and faith.
