Update on our AGM

We  had quite an impressive turnout and an amazing atmosphere of companionship and camaraderie at our 1st ever AGM on Saturday 25th March.

The event offered an opportunity to unveil our team, let supporters know what we’ve been up to in the one-and-half year since Every Village Matters was officially registered and we commenced operations in Nigeria, and what our plans are for the future.

Our guest speaker from University of Glasgow, Kenechi Omenke, had much to share about the Children-out-of-school problem in the wider Sub-Saharan African region, and Nigeria in particular. He also shed some light on what the organised 3rd sector are doing and can do to help solve this malady.

We received some heartwarming pledges of additional support and deeper commitment from current supporters and other attendees who are interested in our work, and we are confident of achieving greater results in future in our mission to help develop education and bring sustainable development and economic prosperity to Sub-Saharan African rural communities.

And we’re happy to announce that our team are forging ahead together into 2023 with our Publicity Secretary, Stefy Vaclavikova coming into the role of Chairperson of our Governing Council, Lucy Malloch joining as our newest member of the council while Henry Mgbemena joins our Board of Trustees.

We’ll keep you posted!
